teaching

As an Assistant Professor of Mathematical Sciences at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Applied Mathematics. I also get to advise students in Interactive Qualifying Projects (IQP) and Major Qualifying Projects (MQP).

As a Dean’s Postdoctoral Scholar at Florida State University some of my time is spent teaching undergraduate classes. Thus far, I have taught Calculus II with Analytic Geometry and Ordinary Differential Equations.

As a Ph.D. Candidate in Mathematics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I was fortunate to both personally teach a variety of undergraduate courses as instructor of record, and assist faculty members teaching undergraduate and graduate classes. I am the winner of the 2017 J. Burton Linker Award for Undergraduate Teaching; this is the yearly Mathematics Department teaching prize for graduate students.

Awards

J. BURTON LINKER AWARD -- May 2017

I received the Linker Award in May of 2017. The J. Burton Linker Award is given by the Mathematics Department of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to the graduate student who has shown the greatest effectiveness as a teacher of undergraduate mathematics courses. Recipients of the Linker Award also receive a cash award at the Departmental Commencement following each spring semester.
